Secret Alpine Lake Elopement in Colorado

Amber & Roger secretly eloped BEFORE their wedding!! They really loved the idea of having a more intimate, romantic moment in the mountains to exchange vows before their wedding day- so they did! When she reached out in July, Amber told us that they wanted to elope & tell no one… in 3 weeks!! I immediately thought of this location. I had been dying to photograph an elopement here for years and I knew it would be epic! We drenched ourselves in bug spray and hiked 5 miles up to this beautiful alpine lake together. I could not believe how much the wildflowers were popping off, and we saw a moose! Amber and Roger had the most magical first look of all time- the clouds literally parted and drenched them in glowing light. I think their smiles in these photos say it all and I remember we were laughing so hard the whole time with them. It was so simple and fun and so them.
