Star Wars Elopement in the Redwood Forest, California

May the fourth (2024) be with you! Miranda & Charlie reached out to us 4 weeks before they wanted to elope in Oregon - on May 4th! We are also huge Star Wars fans so we were very excited they found us and that we were available. This was our second time photographing an elopement in Southern Oregon/Redwood Forest in California, and I hope we do it more. Our style is dramatic, cinematic, and moody which is exactly what they were looking for. We are obsessed with the PNW and think it’s such a romantic backdrop for elopements.

They had their first look at the cutest BnB in Gold Beach, Oregon. Right in front of a tree house (that they stayed in) and completely private waterfall! They had a small ceremony with just their kids and a few family members/friends at Templeman Grove in the redwoods across the California border. To have a ceremony in the redwood forest you do need to obtain a permit and have an officiant!

We also explored Jedediah Smith State Park, which looks just like Endor in Star Wars world haha. Perfect for a light saber battle scene. Miranda shares my love of ferns so we made sure to incorporate lots and lots of them. Loved it!
